Party party

Stella was invited to her first birthday party in Korea today! It was a great opportunity for me to meet up with an old friend, Annabeth from the Philippines, and also for Stella to have some play time with kids her own age. I think she is quite bored with mine and Sangyeon's company, bless the little soul.
Well, she loved it! And played so nicely with the other kids, who were all besotted with her (she was the youngest there, since 아름, who's birthday it was, is already 4 years old).

When we got to Korea, Stella was introduced to Pororo the friendly penguin....and she LOVED him. Seriously, I didn't know a 9 month old baby could be crazy about anything, but really, she is crazy about Pororo!
I think we'll have to get her a cake like this for her birthday....wonder how hard it would be to bake a Pororo cake???

Ahreum (means 'beautiful'), the birthday girl, with her cake.

Annabeth.

In her new kit from H&M....love that we have an H&M here!

It was a fun day! Hope we get to spend lots more time with Ahreum and her mommy :)

Finally...

...after 9 months, her hair is starting to grow! Yipeeeeee :)

Happy 설날

Last weekend we celebrated the Lunar New Year, which meant that we had to spend it with Sangyeon's family doing all sorts of traditional stuff they do on these holidays. It was busy-busy, as we spent most of the time cooking, meeting family and offering respects to deceased ancestors....

Stella's daddy bought her a pink princess tent - exactly the same one that Emma got from her granny for Christmas! It was perfect for her to sleep in at the Grandparents' house, since we don't actually have a room to sleep in there. She loved it and kept crawling in and out to see what it was all about.

Daddy could even fit in with her!

Stella with her adoring grandfather...they already have a special bond.

Looking on as all the food for the sacrificial feast is prepared.

All this visiting-relatives-business had them pooped!

Gorgeous girl with her daddy :)

Silly billy

Sangyeon and I bought Stella a very cute orange baby grow with red flowers all over it, for cheap-cheap at the Dongdaemun market. She looks so cute in these colors, so tonight before her bath I decided to take some photos of her in it, but I just couldn't get a good shot!

She kept flapping her arms around like a mad thing....

...and pulling some very silly faces! Her latest thing to do is pull a huge cheesy grin while she giggles away. I don't know WHERE she gets this from!

Finally a few serious shots:

And then I knew she was ready for bath and bed.

Christening

Organising to have Stella and Emma baptised was a bit of a mad rush, but we managed to do it while some of the family were there before Christmas. It was really important to me, and I was very happy to have friends and family to celebrate with, along with Sanette's baby shower the next day.

The poor little thing was teething badly at the time, plus it was super super hot that day - not a good combination!

Thank you Galla and Sanette for being Godparents.

With her Gogo ♥

She didn't like this part at all...

...and she let us know it!

My little angel-face :)

Dis lekker by die see!

Stella and I were lucky enough to spend a holiday by the sea before leaving for Korea. Galla and Sanette were kind enough to have us with them in East London for a week, and Goose, Bash and Tyler were there too which made it even more special!

It was Stel's first time at the sea, and she loved it! Not so much the sand in her eyes, but she enjoyed the waves. She went crawling fearlessly towards the ocean as soon as I put her down on the ground.

Here's a shot of her very first visit to the beachat sunset, with god parents Galla and Sanette.

We hit Nahoon beach on day 1. Tyler is a real little beach bum...I hope Stella follows in her footsteps!

Ooh, this is nice....

....what's going on now?

On your marks...get set...go!

Brrr...that was lekka!

G&S have the most awesome little pool at there house, with a shallow step perfect for the kiddies.

Tyler showed Stel the ropes when it comes to swimming - dive in the deep end, swim to the step....

....and walla! Easy :) Stella was impressed!

More beach, this time near Footprints.

Fun in the sand.

Little mermaid.

This was the boys' favorite thing to do - dig holes in the sand! The kids loved it.

We even got to meet up with the Van der Merwes. It was great to see them, especially the kiddies who have grown up so much!

Daddy's little girl...Bash and Tyler.

Next beach - Cintsa! The boys went fishing and caught us 3 brass bream with which they made us delicious paella that night!

Little miss in the shade.

Back at Footprints, we took a lovely little walk up over the rocks, around the cliffs and down to a secluded little beach ~

Exhausted

...smile!

Delicious fresh strawberries from Lavender Blue.

With uncle Galla. She smashed her head on his tiles so many times, he thought they would never be the same again!

Hello there!

Little miss mischief...love her to bits XXXXXXX

Down at Gonubie.

Nettie's preggie tum.

Moms and bubs go for a walk.

Last day :( Thanks for coming to fetch us Gogo, and also for our cute dresses!

Thanks for an awesome time guys....we miss you already! Looking forward to the next sea-side holiday, hopefully with us all together!
