Birthday picnic

The moms in our play group decided to take Stella for a picnic for her birthday last week. We ate delicious food, the kiddies played nicely together, and we all got some much needed vitamin D! It was a lovely kick-off to her birthday weekend :)

A walk in the park

It is a God-send being able to spend more time outdoors, now that the weather is getting warmer. It is also a very lovely time of the year in Korea, when all the flowers and trees are in bloom and the world is a colourful, smelly place! I adore the way Stella 'Oooohs" and 'Aaaahs" at the flowers when we walk down the street. I'm so glad this little bub seems to be a nature-lover.

Today my friend 보경 took us to a new park in Incheon. It's a huge park, and really nicely done too. That's one thing I love about Korea...when they build/create/make something or some place, they really go all-out!

Farewell Megz

It felt like just the other day we were welcoming Megz to Korea, and then we were saying good-bye again yesterday!
Stella loves Aunty Megz to bits...she is silly, crazy and makes her laugh endlessly - it's always a real treat when she pops in here....we hope you'll be back in Korea real soon!

Daddy's taking us to the zoo tomorrow!

That's what Stella and I were singing all of last week. We were so happy to finally be at the zoo on Sunday...and the weather was really sunny and warm, so it turned out to be a great day!
As a rule, I don't really like zoos, but I love the Seoul zoo. It is really huge and spacious and all the animals have plenty of room to roam about. It is very well kept and clean and neat, and so nicely done for children!

Funnily enough, out of all the animals, Stella was most fascinated with these little creatures...must be her Magogong roots!

Lazy hippos stayed in this same position all day!

Stella was thrilled to see some real lions, after she's been going around roooooaaaaring away (think it comes from the "row your boat" songs we sing in the bath).

The orangest flamingos I've ever seen!

As much as Stella loved all the animals, she spent most of the day on the ground, trying to walk around. She was giddy with excitement...not sure if from being able to walk, or from being in such a busy crowd of people, but it was a really sweet sight to see :)

Passed out!
