Captivated

It was so hard to choose which pictures from Janine's camera to post, because they are all so lovely!
Here are a few of my favorites :)

It's all happening in week 14

Stella has had an exciting, eventful week! Especially with Kel around to entertain her.
Here are a few things that went down this week:

1. Her vomiting (which got quite bad), became a bit better this week, so I think maybe it was just the vaccinations that had upset her.

2. She started babbling, gurgling and blowing bubbles - soooooooo cute! She had a full-on conversation with Kel, spoke to Aunty Bridgie, the lady in the bank and all the tellers at Ackermans! This morning she and I were blowing bubbles back and forth at each other while listening to Jack Johnson, which she loved ;)

3. She sat all on her own! Ok, it was just for a few seconds, but still, she did it, and I have the proof ~

4. After not sleeping for 2 months, she is finally sleeping well at night. It started in Natal, and now she only wakes up once for a feed during the night and again at 6 or 7 for breakfast. I couldn't resist bringing her into my bed this (cold) morning at 5 for a little cuddle ♥

I can't believe Stella is growing up so quickly. Dr Kuhn said I should start feeding her rice porridge already because it will help with the reflux, but I'm not so keen just yet. But I can't put it off for much longer...she's almost 4 months already!
Actually, she's 100 days old tomorrow, which is a big anniversary in Korea. Very sad Daddy will be missing it!

Snap shots

Since my camera is broken, I haven't been able to take as many photos. I'm going to have to do something about that! I have been snapping away with my cell phone though, and here are a few goodies...

Worried...Uncle Dingy and Stella watching the Boks play the All Blacks

Little Gunners fan-in-the-making. Suite sent from Nicholas, and worn with much pride ;)

Streeeeeetch (why must you do this when I'm sleeping??)

Finally! Enjoying some sunshine outdoors

Testing out Noa's chair

Having a beautiful nap on Uncle Clayton's belly. He's getting good practice for when baby Butler arrives in about 4 weeks!

Janine has also taken some gorgeous pics with her stunning new camera (*very jealous). I'll do a post with those soon.

***A year ago, I would never have imagined being a mom so soon. Now I can't imagine being anything else. There are no words to describe how much I love this little girl who has become the light of my life! I look forward to every adventure we'll embark on together...it's going to be one awesome ride!

Staying indoors

The weather has been mizzy this week, to say the least. We didn't get any of the lovely snow though; all we got was dry sunshine and a bitterly cold, mighty strong wind. Boo - we couldn't go outside at all, and had to stay inside all day... Luckily Stella got a very cool play mat from Meaks, and it kept her entertained for hours.

Stella loves smiling these days, especially for Mom

Vaccinations

I took Stella for her 6 weeks vaccinations today. At 13 weeks, it's very late, but she hasn't been able to have them sooner because she's been on antibiotics up until now. We went to the fancy new clinic in Bonita Park and had it done for free, as apposed to paying R 1 700 in town....some consolation for the heart-breaking screams Stella gave when they jabbed the 3 needles into her! Poor baby. This must be the worst part about playing mum. I'm proud of you my little thing, you did so well!

Jump to now

Obviously lots has happened, since my last blog post was at 37 weeks pregnant, and Stella is now already almost 3 months old!
Well, the first 8 or 9 weeks of her life are too tough to describe, so I'm skipping forward to happier times i.e. the awesome 3 weeks we spent with the Kyles in Natal. It was during this time that Stella seemed to improve so much, and even get into some sort of routine! She started smiling and chatting (well, I call it chatting), and has turned into a real fatty! She's absolutely adorable, and I think she crept into the hearts of all at Sight Hill. Thank you Goose, Bash and Ticky Tyler for everything!

Here are a few highlights from our trip ~~~~~~~~

We went down to help celebrate Tyler's 2nd birthday ~

Stella entertaining us with her smiles and facial expressions ^^

She loved bathing in the big bath with Mom or Aunty Goosie, and Tyler :)

Cosy by the fire ♥

Tyler's cute new bangs!

Even Fixile loved her!

Bonding with her cuzzie xxx

We dressed her up for the Farmer's Market - fun!

Look at my cute shoes!

We spent lots of time outdoors - why not, when Natal is so beautiful?!

We are missing those 3 stacks already, and look forward to being back!

37 weeks

I've become Indie's new best friend. She comes into my room every morning and evening for a neck scratch and roll-around. Personally, I think she's just using me for my bed...

I finished work on Friday, so I've finally started sorting out the room for Stella's arrival. I must admit it's making me extremely excited :) And Sangyeon is arriving in 10 days!!! So I have lots to look forward to ♥
