Back in the ROK

We're back! I can't believe it, after such a long time it feels like I've never been away...
It's been quite an adjustment for little Stella, although Sangyeon is doing everything he can to make her comfortable. Him and his brother have spoilt her rotten already.

We are missing home, that's for sure. Stella misses the space a lot, the animals, and also the cuzzies to play with everyday. She checks herself out in the mirror all the time and giggles and OOs and AAs. I wonder if she thinks it's another little friend?

We found a children's library close to our home. It's great and has a little play area for kids. So I think we'll spend lots of time there, and hopefully meet some friends.

Hopefully meeting up with some old friends this weekend. Really looking forward to that!

Charl's baptism

Charl was christened last Sunday. The church service was lovely, as it was combined with their annual Christmas carol service. Then we had a great lunch at the Butler's plot with all the friends and family.

Aunty Megz

When Aunty Megz visited us a few weeks ago, Sandy was so happy to see her, she had a heart attack. Literally! And now she has passed away, from heart failure. At least she got to see Megz before she left us. The house is strange without her. Stella looks around every time she hears the pitter-patter of the other dogs' feet. A little birdie told me there's a new dog on the way to 3K8 though...can't wait to see!

Anyway, back to Megz. She was great with the kids, and snapped away with her BB the whole week. So here are a few highlights from her album.

7 months

Happy 7 months my little doll! Every single day since you were born has been an adventure. Our time in Africa has been fantastic....and now a new adventure begins in Korea!





Stella LOVES this little Lucy dog. They are big mates. She is going to be sorely missed. I wonder if we can convince Daddy to get a little pup when we get to Korea.........?

Happy birthday Albert :)

Aunty Megz is home for a visit. Stella is so happy to finally meet her aunt. And she arrived just in time for Albert's 1st birthday. Bridget and I have been friends for ages, and it was so nice to spend her little 'un's first birthday with them.

Family time

We went to Kimberley last weekend to celebrate Troy's 3rd birthday with him...what a busy little Neversaurus boy! And that imagination!!!
We spent the rest of the weekend on Rocklands with Uncle Brian and Aunty Retha. As always it was fabulous, fun and relaxing. It was so great to have all the cousins spending time together. I think the thing I'm going to miss the most in Korea, is not having so many cousins around for Stella to play with. We'll have to come back to SA lots to make up for it!

Teething troubles

Stella has been truly miserable this past week. Her tooth was driving her crazy, and she was driving me crazy! So, I'm very happy to say that the first tooth at the bottom has poked it's little head through, and I'm sure the second one is well on it's way. And Stella was back to her cheery old self today - just love her to bits! Sorry you had to go through that my little squirt....
